Agreed. Every legislator should be required to sign their name to it and a pledge to personally defend it in the courts.

We moan and groan about govt waste but how much do they spend on court costs and lawyers fees to defend the indefensible?

Throw in loser pays as well to make it possible for the citizenry to be able to take it to court.

If you have one of these then you have a "assault firearm".
1) Semi auto center fire rifle or pistol
AND
2) more than a 20 round mag
OR
3) threaded barrel from the supplier
OR
4) a folding stock

The way it is written, it is more of a magazine ban than a firearm ban. For example, if you own an AR but only POSSESS 5 and 10 round mags, it doesn't meet the requirement. Had they written it as any weapon CAPABLE of accepting a 20 round mag, it would have been much worse.

Unless the muzzle is threaded.

Unfortunately, it's not that simple. There are gun owners and "sportsmen" that support this crap too.

I wonder if a class action lawsuit can be brought against those who voted for it? Would the same law apply that AR uses in order to get federal money for filing lawsuits against game management programs?

let's not forget to blame all the middle-of-the-road democrats AND "republicans" who said to themselves "I don't have to vote, it'll never happen HERE"

I believe any sheriff, most powerful office of any county, would be breaking their oath of office to enforce any such unconstitutional law.
