Been thinking of something like this, Amazon has a pile of different sizes and styles pretty cheap, Anyone get any of these?, quality?, would you do it again?

I can't build a cedar wood planter as cheap as these, Thanks

I'm planning on getting two. Are you looking for longevity rather than using wood?

TSC has some nice ones which I am looking at. What mix of peat moss and soil do you all use?

Redneck method, Take the door off an old freezer or frig, take all the shelves out and punch a big hole in the bottom, fill half with gravel and the top with loam and manure.

I don't have a link, but I just put in raised garden beds in the Amazon site...they come in a lot of different sizes, Anything wood would be more expensive than these things, Thought of concrete half blocks too, would last forever but still more money than the galv. ones...

Also thought of old tires, but miss Daisy would have a fit looking at that, lol

I have used these for 3 years. Look good as new and working fine. I filled with good top soil over half way and then a mix on top. I have a skidsteer so filled with good soil and rotten manure. Easy to plant and care for. Only bad for climbing plants because they are too high. But that is because I have the 30 high model.

They honestly don't look very good, but these IBC totes are as cheap as you can get being free.

[Linked Image]

IBC totes are mostly 48" by 40" by varying heights. Most hold 270 to 350 gallons

My daughter has some of those galvanized ones.
She seems to like them.
I've used concrete blocks for over 30 years, and still going strong.
She doesn't like the looks of the blocks.
They can be painted, or get some of those concrete siding that they use now on new houses.
Glue them on the outside to make them look better?
Would look like boards then.

I have used manure for years, getting very hard to find cow manure anymore.
I go to a horse farm, they compost the manure , it has a PH of 6.5 where I get it, not sure about other places.
It's just like black top soil.
Only problem is it's full of weed seeds , but there's ways to take care of them.

I use horse/cattle/hog panels bent over for arbors, works perfect, can walk under them, and pick your climbing vegetables with ease.
