Hope ya all get it under wraps we have had our share down here in Kansas over the years when the wind howls
like it has been nothing is stoping it until it runs out of fuel….prayers up..

That isnt going to be cool with the wind that's coming. If its in the sandhills im wondering if that's going to cause problems for years with blowing and shifting sand to the point grass cant reestablish and hold the soil? Better hope for a wet summer.

It is the sandhills. Just 60 miles north of me. I work a lot in that area. Close to 70 mph gusts when that happened 2 nights ago. It spread fast and quick with those winds.

Are you guys going to get any of the moisture from this storm coming through or just the wind?

Very rough country that isnt accessible with firefighting equipment. Only from the air.

Is it prairie grassland that’s burning or is it bush?

I’m guessing mostly public land?

That should be great dozer and/or tractor plow country. The air show means nothing without boots on the ground to follow up.
