I'm going to be getting a tonneau cover for my pickup. Thinking about a soft roll up cover. I only intend to use it a few times a year, mostly just family trips to keep things a bit dryer and to keep folks at the gas station from reaching in and nabbing something when we aren't at the vehicle. Anything that I need to know, and do you folks have any recommendations?

Just went with what the deal sold, the soft type is nice, you’ll need to check the tension on it every now and then as they do stretch.

Hey Sam, check around at the car dealerships. Many times they have a few of them and toppers that they have pulled off trade in's and are usually pretty reasonable.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I've had a Truxedo soft tonneau cover on my truck for about 17 years now and it still functions well. The velcro is starting to lose it's stick a little bit.

I have a 4-fold one on my truck. It can be a little bit of a pain opening it but it comes in handy too.

Thanks everyone. I'll check out the dealership, 160.
And Eric, the brand would be great if it isn't too much trouble.
Yote, I don't intend to use it too often, so being a pain to open isn't too much of a concern, just got to hide traps on the way home from conventions. Lol.

There comes a point liberalism has gone too far, we're past that point.

They work OK to hide a body on short notice too. I must have read that on a review somewhere.

I have exactly the same thing on my truck . Rolls back nice and neat . The heavy duty Velcro seals tight and smooth across the top . I have a maintenance spray that cleans and keeps it looking new . Keeps weather out fine .

Thank you, 160. That hadn't occurred to me. My daughter isn't quite to dating age yet, but nothing wrong with being ready.

Put me down as Plan B when she reaches dating age. I have holes dug where no man has been in 100 years.

What is the purpose of the cover? Soft are not practical. Can’t support snow. Bought this one last year. If had 3 trucks all with hard trifold. Lock the tail gate your cargo is secure. This one is not much higher than a soft one.

I appreciate it. I knew there was some reason that I liked you.

The purpose is to keep some of the rain out and to keep things out of sight when I'm paying for gas. Only figure to use it four or five times a year. But I'm not opposed to being able to lock it up and be more secure.

Do those tri folds leak dust as bad as a roll up?

Or just buy a mini van.
Tonneau covers and pickup trucks seem oxymoronic.
