Therefore, no reference.

That's how I got started on here, a million years ago. I had some used traps to sell, so I joined the forum, probably didn't make a post other than to sell stuff for a year or two. I just trust everyone if they are selling something I want. Never been burned.

I have taken hundreds of personal checks from trappers over many years and have never gotten a bad check from any of them.

Me too. Never had a problem with personal checks.

as a seller, paypal, ach, personal check - it really doesn't matter to me. I do a lot of online stuff and have found the two banks I use have pretty good aps. With the mobile deposits, its only a couple clicks and two pics and done. Check clears in about two days and I send the stuff out.

As buyer, the guys who "demand" a postal money order or cashiers check usually don't even know what they are really asking for. Both my banks do online bill pay and I can send a check to an individual. I just enter the info as a payee and send payment. Bank pulls the money from my account and sends a check for me. No fees and no stamps. I just tell the seller to expect an envelope from XXXXXXXX Bank that most likely will look like junk mail so DONT throw it away before opening it. When they get it, its a bank check from my bank with my name on it. Never had a problem and never had a seller question it

The only thing worse than losing........Is QUITTING!

Buying don’t really don’t care to do PayPal but could figure it out. Selling I can take a card over the phone or checks, money order whatever. I use the square for card payments with my business it does cost me 3%.

I usually do money orders. But there are a couple of gentlemen on here I've dealt with many times over so personal check works. I have done some PayPal dealings also.

Age difference seems to affect method of payment these days. I have done trap shed deals for check or money order in the past and always have had good results. Thats the only two i would do myself. Being self employed ive been asked several times recently if i took venmo ccs or cashapp to which i reply cash or check only. To those in the know does cashapp or venmo charge a percentage like ccs do for a vendor?

I will take a personal check with time to clear my bank or a money order when I'm selling something.
If I'm buying I usually send a USPS money order and spend the extra money to send it priority mail so that there is tracking available. I sent a check snail mail and it never reached it's destination for something on another site. So I had to re send funds and pay to cancel a check. I've worked in a bulk mail center, it's a wonder that anyone gets any mail.

PayPal charges a fee if a buyer pays me through them. Venmo has no charges.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

Venmo doesn't charge a fee if you don't mind waiting a few days to transfer the funds to your account. Or you can keep the money in Venmo and use it for other deals or online purchases.
