Bought it over years for unreal security in my mind. Said I would never part with any. Got so crazy not long ago, not for sale became for sale. Youngest two daughters walked into a coin shop with each with a 100 ounce silver bar. Think I paid around $4000 for both. They each walked out with either a 7500 or 8000 dollar check (can't remember if selling started at 7,500 or 8,000). Woke up and had the kids unloaded in a week maybe week and a half period. Have many daughters and they sold $8000 plus and topped at 100 per ounce. Sometimes you just have to let go. Glad I did!

Not sure but Ampex says it’s down 2.92 right now.

Silver hit $121.88 for a short bit on January 29th. It's at $66.61 right now, which is not much over half the high point. If you sold it at the high point and bought more now from what you took in, you could of nearly doubled your silver holdings.

Still dropping. Im sure it will go up again. May not take years this time. If you regret not selling might as well buy a few more ounces when your ESP tells you its done falling. Unlike gold, silver is irreplaceable in a lot of applications. Not just jewelry. Right now it's being used faster than its being mined for all kinds of stuff. Big banks have been fined for manipulating prices. They do it with futures contracts. The fines never exceed their profits so it doesn't stop.

KeithC, I seriously considered selling at 100 then at 120 I thought it was moving so fast that it could be at 150 within a week. At 150 I am sure I would have taken it in to sell but then it crashed.

danny that is also my line of thinking with silver, it has many uses where it is hard to replace. And I just generally despise gold. Gold is only valuable because other people want it. it doesn't have a multitude of uses that give it value. It's just that other people want it for it's sparkle. I couldn't care less about golds sparkle. Silver looks better and is more useful.

I didnt sell any either. Could have made 400% over purchase price. Likely would have been smart to and buy it back when it drops. But I dont need the cash, bought it years ago and figured may as well just hold on to it not knowing where the top would be.
