How did the surgery go?, hope all went well...

All went well with the surgery. Doctor said it went textbook. Took a little over 2 hours. Im very swollen, stiff and sore but only 24 hours out of operation. Having a hard time getting in out out of walker to chair. And even a rougher time trying to move in the walker mostly using my arms and good leg.
Doc says with bigger men (6 foot and 270) with large muscled thighs this is to be expected for the first few days.
Get up every hour and walker? to the kitchen and back and live in the recliner for now.
Boy oh boy I could tell when the hospital meds wore off.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes, advice and prayers. Im sure glad to have it done. It hurts like the dickens but not in the hip joint

Glad it went well, first few days are the roughest....you''ll be glad you got the toilet riser, lol

You'll be up and going in no time. Keep it clean and watch for infection. My buddy had a rough time of infection. Don't hesitate to report it to the dr.
