Brewers have won the NL Central 4 of the last 5 years. Murphy, without question, is the best manager in the NL Central and definitely one of the best in MLB.

Brewers trade away a lot of good ball players but seem to find very capable and good replacements and do so at reasonable to low cost. I think one of the reasons so many of the trades from the Brewers to other teams happens is that due to the Brewers low salaries these teams get a good player at a low cost. Yes the manager is good at putting together the line up and getting players to grow and develop , but the general manager has been there a long time and the Brewers have been building a solid team over those years. They have been developing some of the best pitchers in the MLB. They manufacture runs and play good D.

My youngest brother and his English Lady went to the season opener for the Cincinnati Reds yesterday. He hasn't missed many openers for the Reds, Bengals, Cyclones and FC Cincinnati. He doesn't watch sports on TV much, but he goes to lots of games, frequently even out of state. The same goes for horse racing and Circus Du Soleil. He frequently goes to the Kentucky Derby. He's seen most of the around 30 different Circus Du Soleil performances, some of them multiple times and overseas.
