Does anyone have a grey fox specific lure they have good luck with??? Or does most predator lures work for them? Thanks in advance.

If you can find any....Marsyada's Coyote Lure Supreme is a super grey fox lure.

Also...Fox Hollow's Bounty Hunter (sold by MTP) is very good.

Grey foxes are attracted to bobcat gland lures in a big way.

Nothing against Paul's stuff but.... JC Conners makes a lure specific for gray fox and its a good one.... used in Texas and nailed the grays. But around here my best Gray Fox lure was Hawbaker's Widowmaker

Just save and use bacon grease… cheap and super effective on greys

When we Grey fox to trap, bacon grease was the best bait I found for them.

There is a man on here that goes by Lazarus. He has a recipe for a bacon Bait recipe that works really well . I believe it is in the archives.

A couple of decades ago on here, if I remember correctly there was a lot of talk about trapping Grey’s and how “difficult” they were and how set construction was a big deal. In my little part of Mid-Michigan I found that trapping greys was every bit as easy as trapping reds, the muskrats of the fields! None of the “who said it to the greatest magnitude” problems/issues with greys of that era were mine! I used Miranda's double mousehole walk-thru set with Pros Choice in one hole and WidowMaker bait in the other. Made no difference in the dreaded set construction BS of that time because the set I made took greys, reds, & coyotes, all just as easily! No adjustment to lure, bait, hole size, distance to center of trap, and very little regard to the size of backing!

The greys are gone now in my neck-of-the-woods because trappers like me are partly to blame because I’d catch the entire family. Bing-bang-boom, catch all the family in a couple of nights while just trapping coyotes on a 40 for 12 nights! Catching greys was just too frigin easy when trying to trap coyotes!
