Watched a Colion Noir YouTube about Canada confiscating assault rifles. Off duty, retired, mounties will be going to your house if you registered your assault rifle. What say you, Boco and other canucks? All Canadians are not canucks.

Not going to happen. The RCMP or smaller forces can’t and won’t back these teams up, I haven’t heard of any retired LEOs signing up for this either. They might try this on a small scale somewhere, but that’ll be it. The retired LEOs aren’t stupid. This prohib thing isn’t anything new. They got the firearms community to turn on itself……sporting vs hunting, but when they dropped the hammer with a new huge prohib list years ago, the hunters (and a lot of Liberals) realized that their shot gun that they use once every 5 years was now prohibited…..lol.
Now if they try hiring a security company to do it, it doesn’t take a genius to see what’s going to happen. You know what nationality a lot of security guards are eh?……lol
They’re still calling it “voluntary”. That’s for the 1-2% that might willingly turn in their property, that’s where these hired guns will play a role. But one would think that if there was anyone left that would turn their guns over, they would’ve done it already. That 1-2% will actually be awful close to zero.

The guns don’t actually have to be “turned in” for the government to succeed
Everyone(that registered their guns) is automatically a criminal,,,
No more passport renewals for example,,,
There’s all sorts of ways for the government to twist your balls until they get your firearms

Truly sad that the city population can cause problems for those living quietly outside the city. I cant see any intelligent LEO going out there trying to take a mans guns.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

I'm hoping our communist will make the door to door confiscation practice soon while there is still a significant number of 2A support. Maybe there would be a fight over such doings, although after covid I'm not so sure. If they wait, the education system and media will eventually "educate" people right into giving up their 2A rights. About the best thing we can do is teach our children and grandchildren to shoot. Depending on a politician to protect those rights is not a smart move at all. Heck they want even protect the integrity of the right to vote with voter ID requirements.

It's easier for the Indians to replace you, if they help disarm you first. Keith

Sounds like Colorado. That will be the next thing they do there. They've already pretty much banned trapping thanks to all the liberal yuppies that moved in from the west coast. According to an outfitter I know from there, hunting will be restricted next. These left wing nuts don't have a clue on what conservation means.

I think it will take a less violent and more insidious route in the US. It will start with a call to "voluntarily" turn in your guns. A few will comply. That will be followed by shutting down access to your bank, shutting down your debit card, turning off power, internet, phone and water, preventing access to medical and pharmacies. And for the strongest hold outs, they'll take your kids, "for their safety", of course. People will either be turning them in by the arm loads or war will erupt. At this point I'm not sure which scenario will happen.
Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

I lost all mine in a skidoo accident. I guess if you were dumb enough to register them back in the day you probably deserve it. They tried to make a registry for guns here way back in the 90s I believe, nobody registered any guns, the next govt scrapped it,it was such a costly nothingburger it was never tried again. Most people here just ignore stupid stuff and just get along with what theyve always done. The last time a cop came to my door was when he returned my husky that broke his chain.

I know a guy who had his shotgun taken back then because he didn’t have his papers. He was (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) because he made a deal with two of his buddy’s that none of them would register. I was actually at the table when the deal was made. Turns out, the other two chickened out and registered without the others knowing. One of them was actually hunting with the one who had his gun taken and showed his papers! lol They laugh about it now, but the buddy who registered still says “I’m glad the warden already took Danny’s gun before I took out my registration paper! He ended up registering and getting his gun back.

Truth Exactly! People on both sides of the boarder like to post about losing their guns “when their camo tipped over” etc. like that makes them exempt from gun control. What good are guns if you have to keep them hidden. End up getting arrested in front of your grand kids when teaching them to shoot or when you actually use a gun to defend yourself. You can’t give them an inch!! IMO, Canadas provenances are so big it’s hard to legislate effectively. People in huge populations, that have never been out of the city are making the laws for folks in the bush. Too big of a disconnect.

Governments confiscate guns and lots of other stuff) all the time,In your country too. When we were teenagers we used to go to the confiscation auctions. There were tables and tables of guns and other stuff confiscated, even a float plane one time. We used to buy the 303 british, they were cheap and great moose hunting guns, That was the reason they had so many all the time -they were the favorite gun for poachers, lol. No different today, people just ignore stupid laws and go along with their buisness. I been checked by gamewardesn for licences etc never been harassed always get along good with them all, there is a helmet law for 4 wheelers but never been enforced in the bush in my experience.
