A few years ago, we had three teenage boys at deer camp - with their girl friends. All six were sitting in the living room - messing with their phones and not saying a word. I walked over to them and asked one of the girls - what would you all do if the phone service all of a sudden went off. She thought for a minute and finally said - “i guess we would have to talk to each other”

Definitely different times. Looking at my phone was and still is the last thing on my mind when my wife is around. Well unless im checking the market.
