I don’t/wouldn’t believe anything coming out of either side,,,
When was the last time we were spoon fed accurate information?
And I wouldn’t expect anything less,,,,

"After an F-15E Strike Eagle was shot down deep inside Iran, the United States launched a massive combat search-and-rescue operation that successfully recovered both airmen—but only after losing HC-130J rescue aircraft, helicopters, drones and an A-10 in what may be the costliest CSAR mission in modern history." "By the end of the mission, the United States had lost an F-15E Strike Eagle, at least two HC-130J Combat King II rescue aircraft, an MH-6 Little Bird helicopter (possibly two), one A-10 Thunderbolt II and possibly multiple MQ-9 Reaper drones, while two HH-60 rescue helicopters were damaged and several other aircraft reportedly declared emergencies." source

Knowing your country has your back and will come get you out and not say no to costly has to be a great feeling and add confidence. Now time for the tds crowd to turn this to a but that wouldn't happen if Trump didnt want the bad press. Maybe correct maybe not. I dont care I care our airmen got recovered alive. Out of all the crap the government wast money on spending on backing and rescuing our troops is something im 100% behind.

Last week there was reports coming out of plans to fly SF in,,,
Build runway,,,,, extract uranium,,, land transports,,,fly it out
Which would be incredibly stupid to release that kind of info,,,,if true??
This past weekend generals are being fired,, as pics of burnt out remains of transports and heli’s on a “abandoned” strip come out,,,
Flying transports in and rolling little birds out,, for the mountain rescue makes zero sense
Sorry, I’m not buying it,,,
They have special long range heli’s that can aerial refuel,,, designed for this exact rescue purposes
And I’m NOT in anyway knocking the military,,they are absolutely the best in the world
It would be very disappointing if they were actually that transparent
Let’s hope they aren’t,,, and I highly doubt they are
My guess is,,,,,,,
Something didn’t go according to the plan
Maybe someday we’ll find out,,,maybe not

Seems to make complete sense to me given the distances involved, the general elevation of the terrain, the tight spaces for maneuvering in those mountains, the heat during the day in that area, and the performance limitations of the various aircraft available. I do agree that something didn't go according to plan. That being the nose gear of the C-130's getting stuck in soft ground. I would also assume that the plan was to abandon the two AH/MH6 at the site regardless ... due to time constraints on the back end of the mission.
