Dirthole set.

2" hole.

Crowd trap up to the hole.

Grey fox in southern Georgia are no longer in good enough numbers to target. And they haven’t been for about 10 years. There are a few here and there, but there used to be 2 behind every bush.

I sure miss them.... frown

Most anything punched in against a big old rotten stump, 2 or 3' wide...

The Miranda double mouse hole fox set and all you need for backing is a clump of bunch grass and a jaw guard opposite the backing. Use the right stuff in the 2 holes and you’ll kill the entire family in a couple of nights. Dumber than stumps because they’re so aggressive. https://youtu.be/-jFJRLoGgw4?si=3fvKrJW6UAZrQ_U4

Dirt hole. Chunks of deer meat with beaver castor stirred in for bait Deadly

I think it’s more about location for grays. Here, I’ll set in open fields for red fox. If I target grays, move to the edges , or even better woods roads. Cutovers, brushy areas with roads or trails cut through them. Dirthole with backing, and powder river paste bait. Tuck that trap close to the hole.
