Only found 21 this year. Was out of town November-mid January.

Ugghhhh, I could never sell that thing. What a giant shed, my wife would get sick of me loving on it. Lol I do like some good shed hunting though and truth be told, have a real good collection of some real big whitetail sheds. Here’s the last free years, year end pic of me and my boys.

Here’s a pretty good set I found some years back, it’s pushing 200”, the left side is one of the top five antlers I’ve ever found. I’ll share my pic here just in case Bernie B decides to try share it on his Facebook page again. Lol

Boy it must suck to live where getting permission to look for sheds is tough or where there isn’t a vast amount of public land to look. For reference, in the bottom photo I posted, well over half of the antlers from that years pile came from public land including every moose shed, the 113” mule deer in my one kid’s hand and the 93” whitetail in the other kid’s hand.

Thie year of this photo was actually kind of crappy for numbers (too much ice hockey for the teens).

I’m not complaining for sure, been lucky enough to drag in excess of a couple thousand antlers home over the years, but I’m very envious of the guys in western states who are able to stack up massive amounts of big elk sheds.

Yep, hardly any private land out here. No reason to be jealous of legal men or accuse without even knowing us. If somebody stole sheds off your property, don't assume everybody else is a thief and trespasser.

Nice sheds rvsask, I too wish we had elk out here. Only elk in Alaska are on Raspberry Island, and in Southeast. Y'all got some toads for whitetail in Saskatchewan.

Who owns the land? State? Feds?

Most of Alaska is State or Federal. In our neck of the woods it is mostly Federal.

There are Native corporations, Native allotments, home steads as well, but it boggles one's mind at the vastness of the federal lands and state lands up here, in a state as wide as the lower 48 and as tall as the lower 48.
