KeithC trapper K Joined: May 2009 Champaign County, Ohio.	I used to make lots of self bows in my preteens and teens. I made arrows out of cattails with 16 penny nails for points. I took birds, rabbits, squirrels and chipmunks with them. I'd like to make one out of Osage orange. Keith

k snow trapper Joined: Oct 2009 east central WI	I would highly recommend the Traditional Bowyer's Bible. Volume one for sure. Vol 2 is also very helpful. Volumes 3 and 4 take deep dives into rabbit holes you don't need for your first few bows. "in the midst of a savage wilderness to depend entirely upon their unassisted strength and hardihood"
