Annual reminder to pick up some fishing lures when you are out on your local waterways. I have found that fishing lures are a great way to add to my income when I am out in nature doing my usual things.

I drove across the lake on the 4 wheeler yesterday so it will be a bit yet.

Actually that is a really good time to pull them out of the lure trees all around the lake!

I was driving my river boat with son and a buddy of his. We went under a tree and Luke's buddy reached out and slapped a small branch full of leaves. I popped the motor out and told him to be careful, those branches can have hooks in them. Wasn't 5 min and I had to go under another hanging branch. As we went under it there was a large catfish hook and bell sinker hanging from it. They both turned around and grinned at me. lol

The run is on!

So when you find these lures I assume you have a means to safely carry them in your pocket to prevent hang ups and hooking ones self ?

Ha ha ha. No I won't be buying anytime soon. I have about 5,000 stock piled in my basement.

Good question. I usually carry a backpack that has a small bathroom trash can in it. I just pick up a lure and throw it in there. No need to get jabbed. I also use a metal thermos that has a top on it if I expect to only find a few. I found the thermos in the river too.
