The average law degree will be worthless. AI will take over those jobs.

Worthless is a bit much.

We are already planning for AI eliminating, for example, the need for a young lawyer to take the first pass reading a big contract. We will still however need transactional lawyers to actually read the contract and handle deals.

Trial lawyers are generally safe (although their young associates will lose some tasks to AI). Computers cannot go to Court. At least not in the foreseeable future.

But, I do not really care. I am about five years from turning in the bar license and going full time at the ranch. I can hold off the robots for five years.

And, I only have one child who will likely attend law school and her place is in the courtroom.

The AI revolution is going to be "interesting" to see what jobs survive.

Will AI lawyers defend the guilty? Will they lie if need be?
