Good prices for local auction. Not being critical just stating the fact that you could have done better on most species at FHA. Even with the slightly higher commission rate and $15 freight charge. I had 9 fisher in FHA auction drumming fee was $3 and some change. High of $150 low $65,

yote, it’s my understanding that different geographic locations have different quality Martin, I don’t believe ours are like the ones they catch up north. I’ve never caught any.

I've heard it said that Oregon Cascade marten will do about 50-60% of what Canadian marten will do when marten are hot.

Right now if you sell to through local auctions your fur may still wind up at North Bay eventually.

Last FHA auction sale set the market going forward.As it always does.
Trappers who arent hard up for money should always ship their fur to auction if they want the true market value of their fur.
That said the FHA auction is the garment market for most species and the taxi market for wolf bear and wolverine.
The prices on the herkimer sale are very good for local sale.

You are correct Bigbrownie. I couldnt make out the 4 on the high.

I would have thought the coon average would be a bit higher, even with eastern coons. Also a mid $3 average for rats to me is low, especially when a lot of areas of NY have very good rats. Maybe that area does not.
