I think it was to be a thumb in the pope's eye
Who is actually helping people more ?
Not to be taken seriously.......but humor
Of course .....it blows ......simple minds into infinity Even if that was the case, it's still not smart to alienate the biggest sector of your base.....

You mean like the Levitical priests ? Or do you mean like pastors who dress like they are trying to sell you an Oldsmobile ?
They forget everyone was Catholic until the heretics screwed things up for them in the 16th century. Not True

So, Trump posts a picture depicting himself as Jesus and then says it's actually a doctor making people better and some of you think it's really the liberals or his advisers fault. Wow! It do appear that way.

That is the actual body and blood of Jesus not just a symbol. He died for us all so that we may have a chance at Heaven
Is it common to take pictures during a service as opposed to listening to it? Being a heathen, I am not sure how these things work.
I have nothing clever to put here.

Are Catholics cannibals as they eat the body and blood of Jesus? Where do they get this body and blood of Jesus? How did they get this? What chunk are they munching on these days? I always though the Catholic hymn "Sons of God" sounded like cannibalism. The refrain is: "Sons of God, hear His holy Word, Gather 'round the table of the Lord, Eat His Body, drink His Blood, And we'll sing a song of love: Allelu, allelu, allelu, alleluia!" The whole "Eat His Body, drink His Blood, And we'll sing a song of love" part sounds pretty gruesome and cultish to me. Keith

Not if you live in some parts of the South Pacific Keith. When I was a kid, my family were good friends with a French family, who we met in Cincinnati. Marcel worked for Safran Aircraft Engines on their project with GE Aerospace called CFM. After that project, the whole family moved to Indonesia, where Marcel worked with the Indonesian government in developing their air industry. He talked the president of Indonesia into giving him protected, guided access to some of the wild parts of New Guinea and the Komodo Islands, which New Guinea owned. He has some crazy stories about the stuff the natives did, which as I'm typing I think I probably shouldn't share here, but should at a convention, where only adults are around. Sorry for the tease. Looks like Savell just let loose one of his zingers from the priests reaction.

no the pope does too, and priests too sometimes. And cardinals. No it's not to show you they're closer to God. It's mostly for tradition's sake. The high priest of back in the day would wear similar things. I believe they wear em to differentiate them from regular priests? Kind of like ranks in the military I guess? The purpose of them is they are leaders... They are there to sort of guide the people. Yeah he is another sinful man but he sets an example, he has a superior voice in things....... He needs to be strong & a good leader. The whole religion would collapse if we didn't have the Popes, and the bishops are kind of the Pope's helpers sort of.
Religion would NOT collapse without pope's and bishops CC There's a reason Jesus had his disciples... and why Simon Peter was the first pope...
