Is it dead as a door nail? Who has and still uses one?
It seems to be a forgotten red headed step child to the .44 mag or even the .357 maximum or .357 mag.

I know several guys who have them.

Cool cartridge and solid hunting choice, but yes, one foot in grave and other on a nanner peel, from a popularity and production standpoint.

That said, I'd love to have a 4" Model 57 or a Blackhawk in 41

I made a thread here a few years back after I came into a bunch of 41 mag reloading supplies. I had never heard of it

My dad has a TC Contender now and a barrel for his encore chambered in 41 mag. He has killed a few deer with each of them

The encore barrel is 18" long and he had it threaded for a suppressor.

He is shooting the Hornady bullets and loves them. He's accurate out to 100 with the rifle, 70ish yards with the pistol

This is 100 yards with the single shot rifle and suppressor after sighting it in

Gotta live up to the nickname...

Interesting. I see Henry currently makes a lever gun in 41

It has a dedicated fan club, but I don't think they're doing much recruiting of new members.

Like the 41. Neat cartridge. I reload. Always wanted the Henry lever in 41 but never pulled the trigger (no pun intended). When Clint made the 44 popular a friend of my wife asked if he could come out were I was stationed. I said bring it out. It was a smith and Wesson double actions. Just a little much for me. At the time I was using a 686 smith in 357 for work which I sold. I settled on the .41 Ruger pistol for deer hunting. Cool single action.

The used guns seem to retain their value, I've wanted one but the price of the used revolvers always ran concurrent with .357s in the same guns so I just stick with 357

To me, the 41 bridges the 357-44 gap about perfectly. Can be run quite hot for a hunting/defense load or can be loaded down pretty mildly for target shooting fun. Not a huge bullet selection, but enough options to cover any needs I have ever encountered. There is a small following, but I feel like it's one good advertising campaign away from a resurgence. To me, and this may invite some flack, but a 41 does everything a 44 does with less recoil. Unless you have a specific need for a heavy bullet.

Ruger is still making them in the new model Blackhawk

they are not dead but they have a tight following.

a Marlin 1892 in 41mag would be nice paired with a BH in 41mag would be sweet

just need to stock up on ammo when you can find it or order it
and reload

who wouldn't want to see a 210gr XTP at 1550fps from a pistol

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I have one in the S&W model 57 that I traded for probably 30+ years ago. I picked one up in a Super 14 contender barrel several years ago and it is a whitetail hammer. I have stocked up on ammo from various sources and races over the years but also reload for it when needed. I like the “odd balls” I still have my original 10” 358 maximum barrel that I bought with my contender frame pushing 35 years ago. I just fitted the same contender frame with a new SSK straight rifled 14” 410 barrel with custom turkey choke. Hoping to put it in action next week.
