Galco, IMHO, make the best shoulder holsters!

I have never found a shoulder holster that I cared for and have a bunch that I have tried.

I have nothing clever to put here.

wish I could tell you a good one for CC

the ones I tried all flop around too much

Vertical is better than the horizontal.

the horizontal really flopped bad and everything was hanging on the thumb break , that was my very first CC holster back in the 90s, wasn't bad if you were riding in a truck with a jacket on but not great for moving around. I went strong side pancake leather and got a lot less movement the gun was much more secure didn't even need a thumb break.

the shoulder holster was very unbalanced try putting 3 pounds on your left shoulder without a way to Ballance the right

I think the Tanker style is the better option for ease of access and comfort but it isn't much for concealed.

I agree, hard to get comfortable fitting one, and it's like you say a balance problem.
I've got a belt type, inside the pants.
I like wearing it in my back.
But the one I have is a little uncomfortable, and too much plastic.
Yet there has to be some form of hardness to keep it safe.
I have a shoulder holster, , and don't like it, was just wondering if there were some better ones.

Galco all the way. The trick would be is if you can find a place that have some of the different models that you can try on. I carried vertical and found that was the most comfortable for me. One main thing to think about is when your in your car or truck with a jacket on PLUS your seatbelt. Can you get it out fast. That's a draw back to any holster out there. The ones I have come with the belt tie downs but I never really used them.

They have not yet made a holster i would try to use seated in the truck. The Go Magnet is the hot set up for me.

I ended up making my own, because I couldn't find one I liked and fit my gun. (Also I'm left handed) To be fair I am cheap and wasn't ordering any expensive ones to try, local stores only carried cheap ones like Uncle Mikes. I have a forty year old one of unknown brand that my dad gave to me with a Ruger Single Six years ago. It is very comfortable and rides well when attached snugly to a belt, and a friend of mine made one for a 454 Casull that was also comfortable and rode well, except it flopped some with no belt attachments. I kind of combined the things I liked about the two and made one for my 44 I have been real happy with. Originally made it with belt attachments, but since I wear loggers jeans with button suspenders most of the time, I tried attaching it to the belt loops on my pants. I was constantly ripping belt loops off when crawling over and under blowdowns. Bending and twisting will rip those belt loops right loose. So I changed it up and put buttonholes in the leather belt attachments and button them down to the suspender buttons and that works really well.

If you are looking for concealed, shoulder holsters aren't any good in the summer time, if you can't wear a jacket over them, they don't conceal.

A heavy duty magnet you can bolt under your dash or along your console that holds a handgun in place. It is covered in kevlar so it won't scratch a guns finish.

For my larger frame revolvers i doubled up the magnet but now I can chase something across a rough pasture and my side arm is right there waiting for me to need it.

I wore a Craft holster for 6 years. One day I was seated on the throne and when I moved forward to get up my CZP01 had somehow become unsnapped. It slid out and went end over end and landed on the end of the barrel and went off. The bullet hit the concrete floor luckily and desiderated. I sent it back to CZ and found a part was work that blocked the hammer so it went off. I have another holster now that holds it with the barrel pointing down. It is more secure and works well but is nowhere near as fast as the Craft holster was. I liked that holster but I never carried with it again.

Just passin through

Whichever one you decide on, make sure it has a belt loop on the bottom to help stabilize it.
