Rather, he said, he acts as though God exists. I think this is a thought provoking statement. Even though we know that acting a certain way, or particular "works" don't gain us eternal life, conversely, saying you believe in God/Jesus Christ, but then not acting as though you do, says a lot about what you truly believe. "My life is better than your vacation"

I was raised catholic and went to church for years with my grandparents so I guess I would say I was “forced” to believe in god. These days as an adult, it’s very hard for me to believe in god as a person figure. I don’t know what to believe to be honest with you. I believe there is somthing out there, just because of all the old civilizations having a god. All of them had a god thousands of years ago and they had no way to communicate to each other from across the globe. Every civilization had a different type of god they believed in. A higher power. I’ve never had an experience where I heard gods voice or had a close encounter to make me full heartedly believe that there is this person that’s god. Is god a term used for humans to live good lives and to believe in somthing to make us all good people? To make us live good lives and to treat each other good? It’s all so confusing for me and I really struggle with it.
