81 for the season so far. Had a buddy from work and his father-in-law out on the FV Curiosity. Took a bit to get on 'em but after only catching two in as many hours I trailerd the boat to another river and found an active school. Was a pretty good time after that. Hopefully I can stay on the bite but have other obligations this weekend so it will be a week at least before I get back out.






Oh, and The Boy got his Letterman jacket today.

Bait was cut bait and dip bait. Tried chicken as well but no takers on that.

Big fish was 10lbs 7oz, which is about the biggest of the channels I've caught from that section of that river. We dont get many channels over 15lbs anywhere locally and flats 35 - 45 are about as big as they get here. In fact Ive never heard a reliable source claim a flat over 50, although seems like everyone without a scale has caught a 60+ pounder lol. We weigh every cat caught and a 6.25 average on the 18 last night is definitely on the upper side of average. I am happy any night I can pick up 2 per hour at a 5 pound average, anything above that is a good night fishing.
