30 days out from a total knee replacement, walking slow, but getting around good, Back to running the excavator and doing field work. Ice the knee everynight , take a couple Tylenol twice a day. Therapy 2 times a week, getting better everyday. They gave me a spinal block and a general anesthetic, The spinal block did not let up for 12 hrs.
Just the right amount of whelm.

I'm a year from my replacement. It was a piece of cake I never took any pain pills. I did my preop exercises for 2 months before my surgery. My surgeon told me that's what made it a piece of cake. Rehab wasn't too bad. And both of my rehab techs made it easy. And both of those ladies were drop dead gorgeous. I looked forward to each appointment. LOL

Maybe you got the address wrong beav and went to the rub and tug by mistake, lol That would explain why he had to pay in cash for each session.

Don't u got to keep bandage dry, shower or ice would get it wet They gave me an ice machine, you put ice and water in it and it has hoses and a pad, it pumps ice water around your knee.
Just the right amount of whelm.

Get it done
It will suck for sure right after but do your physical therapy and in short time you will be wondering why you waited so long
I don't know anyone that offers a knee replacement with a "block" (what you described as numb waist down) and they have drugs to help with the nausea afterwards, just make sure they know going in that anesthesia makes you sick.
Will be praying for you My self and 4 other people I know that had knee replacement had spinal blocks. Mine was different then the others I could hear the doctors and nurses talking. But I didn't feel anything. Later I asked my doctor about it, and he said that shouldn't have happened. I was in recovery for about an hour. About 2 hours later I was up and waking with some help.
