Launched the boat Wed, Thurs, and Friday out of Cleveland Ohio and the walleye didn't disappoint with quick limits all three day. Friday was special day took a friend who I worked with over 30 years and one of his buddies. We made one pass and had our three man limit in a little over a hour. Biggest was a long skinny spawned out female at 29 1/2 inches. Both said it was a morning of fishing that would not soon be forgotten. Made my day. They also released 6 more fish while pulled lines in. I have picture but beyond me to get them posted.

Were still catching them shore casting Husky Jerks. Not hot or fast but enough to keep it interesting. Lots of strange people walking around at night down there.

Is it still too early for perch?

We have met the enemy and the enemy is us!

Perch number are way down in the Central basin. However a few guys I know caught perch out of Cleveland a few weeks ago at the Cuyahoga Litehouse. Your only allowed 10 in the central basin. Western basin can be good starting August through the fall. Limit in the western basin is 30.

One of my fav boat trips was West Erie in early May.
Shallow drift jigging with right handed right side up rod n reel,
not fighting the boat. There were big waves.

Small boat summer perch might be something I'd like.
Worms and all lol.
