They’ll fit through the 1/4” hole in a trap swivel too, so I can hook a chain and drag to anything.

Thx guys, Les... that's what failed on me, somehow got the swivel over by that pivot pin, and broke it I had to reread this, and I realized what I have been doing wrong… hooking directly to the swivel body or the rivet hole is wrong even though I got away with it. The link should probably always go through the eye of the rivet that is in the end of the swivel for a more direct pull and no binding. IMO.

So you're saying put a "blank" j hook in the end of the swivel, close it, and attach your quick link to that J hook? Can't say I've ever done that
Gotta live up to the nickname...
