I was running behind today to get to work so I decided to just get gas after work and I could not believe it.
Gas was 4 bucks this morning,,, when I pulled in to the filling station it was jumped to 4.50!!
WOW!!
Instead of selling all that oil drilled from the United States to global markets,,, keep it here,,, I don’t care.
Those countries that didn’t want to help with the Iranian operation,,, can go pound sand… I wouldn’t sell them squat. Now, start helping out and maybe we can do business.

Not selling our crude on the global market would accomplish nothing since we have no means of refining it. Crude futures jumped today due to proposed sit-downs with Iran being cancelled over the weekend, and Iran today proposing a truce the US most likely will not entertain. The only way gas prices will come down is if the Strait is re-opened.

IMO there are only 2 ways to do that. Give Iran everything they want, or bomb them into submission.

Don't give them anything, just pull out. Mission accomplished. Oil will start flowing. If Europe has to pay tolls for their oil tough.

How would not selling to global markets help gas prices? Global oil price is the primary driver of gas prices. Not selling oil to global markets would reduce amount of supply, pushing global prices higher. Are you expecting oil companies to say to heck with their profits so you can have cheaper gas?

Also pretty sure if you want a new refinery it ain’t here this year, or next, or the next, or the next…..

I dont think we were as effective at as we thought we were. The enrichment part is the big item of contention in the peace talks. Heck its been the big problem with Iran for a very long time.

I’m not convinced nukes are even real.

I see a refinery is being built in Brownsville, for fuel used in the USA I don’t know why one wouldn’t be built more inland to avoid hurricane’s.

I absolutely think this should be a priority. But you work in the industry... how quickly do you think that could be accomplished?
