My wife is doing a bit of an art project. She needs a good photo of a moles back foot so she can figure out how to draw it. Could one of you folks that traps moles please take a close up picture of ones rear feet? I would greatly appreciate it.

Little big foot. Those things are quite strong. I have held a few in my day that I have caught by hand while setting traps in a tunnel. I assume they are attracted and come towards the ground vibration from digging etc.. They may think it is a food source or another mole infringing upon its established territory.

They can kick quite strongly while holding one firmly in your hand. Seeing how they are built you can understand how they can tunnel thru the soil while foraging quite quickly and easily under good conditions.
