Catch and release confuses me. I hear this is a Sconie condition ,many of us suffer from it.

C&R is for those who cannot filet. That's a nice one.
Season dates are weird for those over here. River, stream, lake, pond, trophy, extended, blah.

Catch and release confuses me. Wasn’t in season at the time pal! Even if it was in season, I would let it go. Not a good eating fish, IMO. That one must have given you quite a tussle.
I can't imagine a cereal so bad two scoops of raisins makes it better.

Catch and release confuses me. I hear this is a Sconie condition ,many of us suffer from it. Except musky it seems. Thought I was gonna get lynched one time by a group of guys at work that were talking musky fishing. I asked them if they had any good recipes I could use if I ever caught one.

Catch and release confuses me. Really? LOL I probably release 90% of the fish I catch. I just enjoy catching them. I’ll keep the better eating fish, crappie bass, perch, walleye. But anything out of season or anything that doesn’t make good table fare gets thrown back. Warm water bass is not a good eating fish. My granddaughter and I catch a lot of fall fish in one of the rivers we frequent. We have a blast doing it and they run large in that river averaging about 12 inches. But they are not good eating. Why would we keep them?
Eh...wot?

Never heard of a season on large mouth bass Sure. Missouri Ozark streams are closed from late February till Memorial Day for black bass. Gives the fish time to breed and get off the nest. Ozark lakes are open all year around though. Always been that way.

Don't listen to the snobs JP, large mouth out of clean water eat just fine. I fish small pasture ponds so I tend to release anything over about 2.5 pounds and eat the smaller ones who probably aren't even producing yet.
Fry them in a good batter and make up some tarter sauce- they are better than any kind of catfish in my mind.

You have a ton of conventionally pretty women over there (the list above, and you forgot Kayleigh.... and Mrs Langley)))), you don't need any hideous feral slav ogres such as myself in the mix

Well, you live in the frozen north and I think most fish are better out of cold water. How would you say smallmouth bass rate against perch, walleye, pan fish, you know, the good eating fish? LOL
