I am regretting it already and has been less then 24 hours. No rust no dents a complete new front end with all new parts from tire to tire. New tires and spare. No cracks in dash or roof/door panels leather inside. 169K miles run great and never used oil, 5 speed manual 4x4.

I want it back but I know he wouldn't sell it back for no money.

Depends on what you got for it ......that would be super low miles for me for a 94. And nothing last with our winter salt that long. It would be rotten, body panel and frame
And what did you get to replace it?

Never replaced it it was just a second truck I just enjoyed to have. A great hunting and off road truck. The clearance from door down to ground was 22 inches the thing would go anywhere. Lol I got 11500$.

That’s exactly the truck I was thinking about last week. Be a good replacement for my Sierra for trapping. I can’t put a newer truck through the stuff that I do. Was thinking 80s-90s Toyota. Good clearance, light, good fuel mileage, run forever, can work on it myself………just hard to find one that’s not rusted out……lol.
The US is the best chance to find one 1/2 decent for cheap. Getting them across the line nowadays isn’t so cheap & easy as it used to be.

Shakey it would be a great trapping unit. I could of got more money if I lived eastern or southern US. They are getting tough to find that aren't a total rust job or beat to death.

Really? Things have changed then, I haven't shopped for one in a couple years, but it used to be that's where people went to get either the good deals or the good condition yotas. I knew of a few guys from back east who would bring their old Toyotas out here to sell, because they could get a lot more for them.

Hard to believe a thirty year old truck with that many miles on it is worth that much. My dad bought a 90 and a 95 new, just like that, extended cab, 4x4, 5 speed. He paid around $12,000 for the 90 and paid $16,200 for the 95. I bought the 95 off him with 200K on it back in 04 when some knucklehead weaving through traffic on the freeway rearended me and rolled my 89 down the freeway. I don't remember what I paid for it, but it wasn't in bad condition, probably not as nice as yours, but I know the interior was perfect and it had been well maintained. Probably paid about half what you just sold yours for. I do know what I got for it when I sold it, a little under 400K on it, quite a few more dents in it than when I bought it, and getting a little rust, but the interior was still pretty good, had seat covers since it was new, and no cracks in the dash, but carpet was stained etc. I sold it for $3000

That is a clean one and I bet you do regret it

Glad to see you didn't give it away and you are right that they bring more in some places

I have a 99 and I have no plans to sell it. Has 350K on it and I would drive it to MT

Nice Toyota , I just sold my '85 Toyota . I bought it in '88 and used it a bunch. Sold it for more than I paid for it, which doesn't happen often. Evem hough I harldly used it, too hard to get in and out of for me . It still hurts to let it go. [Linked Image]

That 94 is Identical to mine even the paint, but without the hard use from me using it as a 1 ton and 4 wheeler for 7 years. It was at about 320k miles when i sold it. . I also regret selling it and would have bought yours had the opportunity been there.

That truck was incredible and in my youth and ignorance I pushed that truck well beyond what it ahould have been. Pulled loads so heavy I had to put it in 4 low to get it rolling. 45mph was max on the flat and better have a long time to stop. Loads that today I would use a 3/4 ton or larger on. But I was younger and dumb and didn't know any better. Ran it like a 4 wheeler hunting, fishing and trapping. Darn right in can get back to that lake.

Its the best truck I have had in my life as well as the best value cost and use I have ever or likely will have out of a vehicle. I bought it used with breaks so bad I didnt drive it more than 50'. It had 120k miles on it I drove it from about 7 years put 200 k on it. Made a lot of money using it for tree work and such. I paid $3,750 for it and back then had to get a loan to do that.

No one makes a truck that can be used and abused like that that holds up today.

Im a touch sentiment and nostalgic when it comes to that truck if you cant tell.

Not so many years ago that would have been a $4000 truck, even with the low miles. Now, $11.5 doesn't shock me. Older style Toyotas are by far my favorite trucks. The best I've had were a 1990 and a 1995. However, their popularity has priced them out of the market for me. I can't see paying $11.5 for a 1994 with almost 200k miles, when I can get a 2016 Nissan with less than half the miles for less money.

Gotta find a way, a better way, I'd better wait

Had a 89 and a 90, one had the 4 banger, other had the v6. Both short bed regular cabs. Think i gave 1500 a piece years ago. 5 speed, out er in 4 low and 1st gear and it would idle anywhere. Sold em both and regret it every day.

I trapped with a guy from up in Abilene back in the 90s. He had a little Toyota with a 4 cylinder and we took that poor thing everywhere! Only time it wouldn't start we had left the lights on, pushed it about 5 ft, dumped the clutch and was back in business.

This would have been a mid 80s model, it was boxy, loud, and was impossible to hurt.
