After 19 years, the old one got replaced today. I took a chance and went with an electric. 1st cut today and I'm satisfied for now.

I’ve heard good things about the electric ones, did you hit a rock with the new blade.

I never heard that one before. So what happens? I don't see the big deal.

My neighbor just got one too. Yard looks great, quite, no gas, no oil starts without killing himself. I think it would be the way to go if I need a mow down the road.

I have looked at getting a "self-propelled" EGO. I have one of their string trimmers and a blower that I am very happy with. All of the tools they carry are high quality, but not in-expensive.
My sister got an 80v Greenworks mower a few weeks ago from Costco and is pleased with it, but to me they seem kind of chinsy.

Just doing what I want now.

And I'll add that I like to sit when doing it.

I wanted another Honda gas mower, but they don't make them anymore.

The best gas mower I ever owned was a Honda with the fiberglass deck. I lived at the NC coast, and my soil was pure sand. Decks would either get sandblasted or rusted to death. The Honda would crank on the first pull, and the deck was guaranteed for life, I think. Blade life was about two years in the sandy soil. Never owned an electric mower, but I would go that way if I needed another, which I won't.
