Big Sam OP trapper B Joined: Aug 2012 Blackduck Minnesota	The kids and I picked about five gallons between today and yesterday. We're supposed to get some rain so hopefully it will get better. Anybody else getting any mushrooms?

We were supposed to get 2 inches of rain last night, but it all went south of the Twin Cities. Wife told me to put on clean socks every day. I tried, but after 7 days, I could hardly get my shoes on.

rick olson trapper Joined: Apr 2012 Northern Mn	Last two days we got an inch of rain,heat coming this Thursday should be good picking over the weekend,but it will be a very short picking window this year.Hoping to find a few hundred behind the house this weekend,plenty of Fiddle heads to pick.

Rick, I think you're right about this weekend. I'd like to get a couple gallons of dehydrated shrooms for the rest of the year.

I've only ever cooked pheasant backs one way, sauteed in butter, and really enjoy them that way. My wife's favorite mushroom.
