We’ve heard of this stuff before… guess it’s getting worse in parts of Africa.
It’s not spread through casual contact like flu, cold, covid.
It’s transmitted through bodily fluids,,, like aids.
Which ironically appeared at the same time as Ebola.

Been lots of theories about aids being born in labs
Possibly Ebola as well.

Are people really that dumb in those regions?? There is a vaccine.
Don’t have ( relations) with sick people,, and don’t touch their snot, blood??
Other than that, I don’t know much about it.
It’s rapidly spreading ,,, folks are panicking.

Stand by your principles, Stand by your guns, and victory complete and permanent is sure at last.

Millions of Africans live like our ancestors did hundreds of thousands of years ago. Most have IQs that are considered mentally handicapped in the US. At that low level of intelligence, they struggle to grasp cause and effect. Until age 7, most subsaharans can't recognize themselves in a mirror. Millions have no concept of how diseases spread and no ability to comprehend it if it's explained to them.

Read the last time there was a big outbreak that part of the problem is their death and burial practice, family needs to wash the body and wrap it and it stays in the house till burial,,,lots of chances to get some ick on you...

This time some villagers burned the treatment center down, I guess thinking it was the cause of the outbreak...I think Keith is on to something.... crazy

One known reservior of ebola is a cave that is shared by bats and dozens of other species, including elephants. It is supposedly been declared a special off limits site by the world health organization and the UN, however reports say that has only made it a tourist attraction.

Would probably all work itself out if we were still in the horse and buggy stage as the idiots that play with it couldn't outrun it. But today, in the jet/internet age, the idiots can be infected one day and walking through Grand Central Station the next.

I was in Tanzania in February. I agree with what Keith said. Very much a third world society in Tanzania and Zanzibar where we visited.

In Zanzibar, we stayed a few nights in a nice hotel on the shores of the Indian Ocean. Fishing boats were only a few yards off the shoreline. They fish at night using long nets. The boats are only have sails to power them. One morning at breakfast I saw a kid jump off a boat with a basket and swim to shore at our motel. A chef met him on the beach to examine and negotiate for their catch. I am certain the fish had never been iced.

The motel had a uniformed security guard posted on the beach. He patrolled about 200 feet of shoreline. He was armed with a sling shot! Yes, a sling shot!

In the public market there were all types of meat, fish, veggies and fruit, all covered in thousands of flies One could purchase any and every part of an animal. Entire digestive tracts hung from pegs on display. No pork. Beef, goat, and lamb. No ice and no refrigeration. As the day wears on, the prices drop with the quality of the meat and fish. Locals can only afford to shop in the afternoons. Restaurants shop in the morning.

How anybody lives in those cities is beyond me. It would kill us in two weeks.

I saw hundreds of refrigerators for sale. All were used and imported from Europe. I expect they worked with old Freon and could not be resold in Europe. At least appliances are recycled when obsolete. Voltage was 220.

Well, doesn't ebola cause people to exhibit bleeding, vomiting, diarrhea, etc.? I think it's much easier to spread ebola (rather than AIDS) due to contaminated surfaces from all the fluids infected people are expelling.
