Spent 8 hours getting the plants from seed I started late winter in the ground today. Pumpkin, melons and squash in and got pump going and mowed. A busy day, now I'm hoping for rain. Most of the stuff is a long a water way so it stays moist and only need to get it going and never have to water after that if we get a little rain through the summer. This round catch coral has one variety of melons.

Tomatoes, peppers, beets, cucumbers and potatoes in at home in town. How is everyone else doing on getting this planted in the north country??

I have my potatoes in and tomatoes & cabbage went in today. It rained here on and off today. I will try to get some more done on it tomorrow. It was still raining when I went out to lock up the chickens about sun down. We will have a inch between yesterday and today. We need it bad.

We have an 11x14 greenhouse next to the garden. Had good hold overs from the winter. Had some parsnips that made it trough. Salad greens, spinach, cilantro are booming. Second round of radishes already in there. Have some tomatoes and squash starts in there ready for transplant. Carrots, peas, parsnips are just staring in the garden. We went from onions to shallots instead. Ill never look back, they are great and store well. Have a few asparagus too. Strawberries and raspberries are flowering good. Service berries looking great

We got nuked by a frost last week. We have 13 fruit trees. We had great pollination this year but a few of the trees look like they got to frozen. Bummed. One is a plum that produces over 100#. The apples look fine. We will see in another few weeks

Been getting some crop pickings from wild asparagus on my place. I did plant some more asparagus at home a couple weeks ago also.

gcs that is what I have in that picture I posted. I have another 20 plants of different cantaloupe/muskmelon planted along a water way. I plant heavy in hopes to get something. Every critter wants some and most years they leave me with just enough seed/plants for me.

Started with hot peppers yesterday. I'll chip away at the rest and should be done on Monday

I have everything in the ground. Had to cover tomatoes and peppers for a couple of nights but I think we are out of the woods now. Radishes, peas, beets, spinach and kale are up. Hopefully, beans, squash and cukes break ground in a few days. We have 20 asparagus plants and we can't keep up eating it. So far, so good.

My asparagus is just starting up. I planted 40 a couple years ago. I am hoping with the rain we got and some heat now they will spring up. It shows in the 90's for Monday and Tuesday, high 80's Wednesday. It was freezing about half the nights last week.

Third growing season for my asparagus, but it took a hit by the cold wet weather. Instead of really picking, I've been laying off it. Got a few meals, but I'm going to give it another year to get stronger
