After mine the doc came into the room, I was in bed and still a little out of it. He showed me pics that looked like outer space. I asked what does this mean?
Doc looked at me and said “ your still the perfect A something”.
End of story!

I’ve had prolly a dozen. Colon cancer 15 years ago. I quit eating anything solid 2 days ahead of beginning prep. Makes it a non issue.

Prep failed?
Never new that could happen

You'd have to be full of solid concrete to not have it clean you out with what they give me.
A full bottle of Colon Blow and 2 Gatorades Shake well and chugg em down and wait a bit...

And thank God you didn't get the worst possible news.

My last colonoscopy the drink made me sick to my stomach. Throw up in a trash can. If you throw up in the toilet you are going to have laundry problems. And!! once you start throwing up you can't stop until you stomach says it is done. Not a mistake I will make again.

Had my first one last year and if the prep had failed I would have told them to check back in a few years.

I guess I got the best news because doc said everything looked great and I didn't need to come back for 10 years

The prep is a great way to lose weight in a hurry. wink

Wife told me to put on clean socks every day. I tried, but after 7 days, I could hardly get my shoes on.

Well, if a co worker or someone says you're full of "you-know-what" your rejoinder is you can supply medical evidence to the affirm that opinion.

Pill size was hard to swallow. I am not used to having large "things" in my mouth.

Last year when I had mine done, I was still sporting the colostomy bag. For prep, that's the way to go.

I have had many colon exams because of a family history. I had colon cancer about seven years ago, I am on a three year schedule. I request that I not be sedated so I can see the procedure on the monitor and the doctor can talk to me as he explores the great unknown. There is no pain at all.

My cancer was caught at stage 1. A portion of my colon was soon removed and reconnected. No chemo or radiation needed.

I encourage all of you to follow the recommended exam schedules. When I was in my 60s ( now 79), a doctor said that at my age I would never need another colon exam. Boy was he wrong. My son now gets his every three years because of our family history. He has had several polyps. He is 49. His younger sister is being followed as well.

It is not fun, but it is a life saver if a cancer is detected very early. By removing the suspicious polyps, a future cancer can be easily prevented.

I am probably preaching to the choir. Stay on schedule and stay alive.

Number 4 for me this year. First one found polyp’s non cancerous. Family history of colon cancer. The prep sucks.
My brother in law had colon cancer. It was bad. But he survived.!!!!!

Cancer sucks for sure. As Charles mentioned above. !!!!!

When he was checking did he have both hands on your shoulders? Maybe it was so good the dr wanted a 2nd date.

You got this confused with a prostate exam when they check you for a enlarged prostate is when you want to worry about both hands on your shoulders.
