So I bought some "stiff" screen off of amazon made of 304 Stainless, Cut them 6x6" and slitted them to slide on the pan of the No BS K9 extreme, when it was said and done they cost me 1$ a piece about the same as buying the No BS brand screens from a distributor so there is no savings. I have a few pics attached, Only took a few minutes to make 18 of them. they fit good barely a gap between the screen and pan and the trap fires with 3lbs of pressure on the screen a 1/4" form the pan. I never have handled the no bs brand screens but i will buy a couple dozen to try out I'm wondering if they are better quality, fit better, stiffer etc.

Id like to hear if any of you have experience with the no bs brand screens and what you think about the quality, fit etc,

I would recommend that you take that setup and go out in the yard and bed the setup and cover it .Poke around the screen area and see if there is any give or sliding of the screen . Better to find out in the yard than on the line if you need to make changes. What area of Louisiana are you from.

Lafourche Parish, You? I was planning on doing a bit of testing, that was the first one and i dug through the screen with the snips to start the cut I cut another half dozen with a dremel cutter that fit snug, i snapped a couple of them with an axe handle and they seem pretty solid but i will bed some and test them out, You use wire screens?

The stiff wire works fine,I use them and under all as well, with the under all's you'll have a few more misses than with the stiff screens. With the screen the whole inside of the jaws is the kill area, however when the foot placement isn't perfect you might get a few more poorer catches

I am north of the Mardi Gras about 45 minutes. When I first started i used some screens but went to poly fill and sometimes wax paper. If I am bedding with grass clippings in wet conditions I will still use a few screens.

Do you slit the screens or just slide them over the pan and under the jaws?
