Had my hernia surgery at 1:00 pm yesterday;was back home by 5:00 pm. Never have I had so much pain as yesterday and today--I am taking ibuprofin,acetametaphin and oxycodine, When I broke my hip,I didnt take any meds for hours-till they made me when they did surgery,so I do have a high pain tolerance But when they wanted me to rate the pain from 1 to 10--I told them 15. when I broke my hip I only took 1 oxy total. I hate sleeping on my back but my tin hip is on the right and the hernia incisions are on my left
Well things will improve and I dont have a big softball sticking out of my belly,And in a month I can lift more than 15 pounds.

Hope you heal up soon! I know it wasn't a fun experience but hernias can kill you, so I am glad you got it fixed up!!

Hope it heals up fast... Had a small umbilical hernia repaired years ago, doc said "you can go back to work tomorrow". Uh Uhhh, lol. Do NOT laugh, cough, burp, fart or wiggle around too much!  ......feel better.

Tom, I hope the pain subsides soon. I had Hernia surgery 3 times, the first time I had a good bit of pain, but the pain pill helped big time, I only had enough pain pills for two days, but after two days I had very little pain. The other two surgeries there was no pain.
I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.
