Couldn't get that link to work, is that the system where you take a bucket of water, add leaves and clippings to it, allow to ferment a little then add a mosquito block to it?

If so, I'm not sure how "Amish" it is, lol, it's been around for years, but it only kills the wigglers after the adult females discover that festering pot of water...Adults are not affected, but will reduce future generations of adults in that area...

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

I looked up the Mosquito Bits. It’s a bacteria called Bacillus thurengiansis. It kills the larva so they don’t become adults. There are a couple of these chemical products on the market. Altocid pellets and disks cover more surface area.

You can also use Dawn dish washing liquid a couple drops worth for buckets of collected rain water, pot holes and small containers of water. This cuts the surface tension oil and the larva drown.

A couple drops of oil does something similar. The larva hang on the surface tension and their siphon picks up oxygen. The oil plugs the tube and they suffocate.

I loved ‘bug-ology’ when I was in college!
