GCP is there an IFAK reasonable enough that a cheapo trapper might buy 2?

A trapper demo of your class would be interesting and could save lives.

here is a link to the stop the bleed organization
they sell kits , but you can just as well look at what is in a kit and buy the components yourself.

my personal one I carry hunting I put together from components is a pack of quick clot gauze , a cat T tourniquet , shears , and an Israeli bandage

I should probably ad a second tourniquet and newer compression bandage

Buy a couple good tourniquets, not a Chinesium one from skamazon. Your life may depend on it.

if you are drawing right , as you establish grip the safety on decent guns is already off

the thumb sweep it part of the draw

Many hand guns are made without a safety nowdays.

Learn gun control, and use gun safety as a rule.
Never put your finger inside the trigger guard until ready to shoot.

I am late to this thread, but I would recommend that you take a look at the Sig P365XL with the red dot sight. It is above your stated preferred budget but is still reasonable. It is a compact handgun that will accept up to 17 round magazines so you can carry it with a 12 round mag to be more compact and carry 17 round magazines for your reload. I don't carry AIWB like many, I carry strong side hip and the P365 disappears under an untucked t-shirt if you decide to carry on your person rather than in a bag.

It is a very accurate handgun and has enough grip size to be easily managed but still small enough to be easily concealed. The iron sights are tall enough to be able to use through the red dot sight in the unlikely event the rds fails and they are also night sights. The battery life is 50,000 hours of continuous on so just change the battery on your birthday every year and you will never have to worry about the battery going dead.

I have about 1000 rounds through mine thus far and except for the first magazine where I had a failure to feed, I have had no issues at all with reliability. With the RDS you can easily make center mass hits rapidly to 50 yards and head shots if you take a little more time. Yes, I know the whole thing about statistically self-defense shootings are at 7 yards or less and so on but if you have the confidence to hit quickly and reliably at distance, closer targets are just easier.

Yes, it is over 300 dollars but I didn't know how firm that number was. They do offer variants with manual safeties, SIG has a staggering number of variations of the 365.
