I scored an old school chicken plucker for $50 of FB I thought you guys would get a kick out of. Seems like it'll work good. Anyone have any experience with one of these?

I like the yellow sticker: THE CHICKEN PLUCKER and also "Mfg of Snowblowers" "Skid Loader Trailers" "Wood Burning Stoves" "Wood Splitters". lol

Not that specific 1 but we had 1 similar that we used back in the 80's which worked good but we ended up buying a drum style 1 after a place went out of business which worked alot better I dont recall how many we could put in it but it was alot faster then the old style 1.

Darn I was betting on old school being better. Time will tell.

Those work pretty well, those rubber fingers are alot better than the ones with metal, the guy in the video is basically doing it right you'll learn if the chickens not ready or your water isn't hot enough that the feathers don't come out very well, as a side note their snowblowers weren't that good.

Used one and did 100-150 per shift with
4-8 person crew.
That was back when I could find 6
people who were not lazy.
The by-product was good chum for fish,
k9s, fertilizer, compost etc.
It is a dirty job.

I have no advice, except I sure wouldn't wear any loose fitting clothing like scarves while operating that thing.

Took me two days to remember where I saw something like that before...

They must not have the video on Youtube b/c they are cleaning birds... (now that I watched it again I see why they pulled it lol)

Check this out at 27:30.
