I shot with both eyes open because that is how I trained years ago, but I would say it’s a personal preference.

Yeah your right about not being able to break the habit of closing the off eye. I have a reflex sight on my Turkey shotgun and every time I pull the trigger on a gobbler I try to shoot with both eyes open but I always close my left eye right before the trigger squeeze.


Cheap easy way to overcome is dry fire with both eyes open. Muscle memory is a powerful thing.
