I enjoy catching them but not so much eating them. They sure do fight.

Yep there is more to bass than catch and release I take the thick part of the fillet and slice it in half let them soak a bit in salty water season them and let them sit for awhile in the frig fry them up, splitting the thick fillet help with a better cook on them. splitting any thick fillet helps. I like to eat them there bass.

On any fish, if you take the top portion of the fillet and cut it length wise, they almost always "twist" when cooked like a pretzel. It looks appealing and the kids love them.
