A good friend of mine has it. It sucks big time. Saw an article a couple of days ago saying that other ticks (not just Lone Star) could possibly be carriers. And my friend's care team also speculates that his covid vaccinations could have altered his immune system and could also be a contributing factor to him being affected.
On a good note, he has about figured out what he can and can not eat at this point. He has to be very careful though.

I know of two people who had it. One a neighbor.....who would go into a mild form of anaphylactic shock when eating any form of red meat. Other is a brother in law whose symptoms were violent diarrhea when eating red meat. Neighbor dealt with it for a year or so, but was treated by a lady using acupuncture and is now cured and back to eating red meat. Told brother in law and he also sought acupuncture........first try failed. Second try worked for him too. Different doc 2nd time. He was treated in Virginia. There are only a handful of people trained for this. In MO, I think it was less than 10, and waiting list for those who know how runs 6 months or more. Was told cure rate is about 90% for those who know how. FWIW. How the acupuncture treatment works.........and told it is case by case. One person gets 2 needles........another may need 14. But it does seem to work. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35003502/

I had to look that one up. It’s a real malady. And pretty serious by the sounds of it.
At first I thought it was going to be about weak males who partnered with controlling women.

Every time I see a tick thread I figure im the luckiest guy on the planet. Working on the farm we get anywhere from a few ticks to a dozen on us everyday, during the summer. Always one or two buried in. The rest still crawlin' Must have had hundreds if not more in my lifetime buried in me. Just rip em' out and go back at it another day. Never had a problem with Lymes or any other diseases that I know of from ticks. Nobody i work with either. I always wondered if it wasn't more prevalent in some areas than others. I feel bad for anyone that goes through it

There is a rumor that it is human/lab created, in order to make us all dependant on lab grown meat. With the likes of Bill Gates and Fauci, nothing would surprise me.

BTW, for those who have never seen one, this is best tick removal mathod / tool I've run across yet. It lifts them all off......including the tiny little seed ticks you can barely see. https://www.amazon.com/Original-Ticked-Off-Remover-family/dp/B00CAQ7C8KI worked for a place that gave a bunch of these away for promotional items once. Initial response was "ick". Then people started using them and the whole supply was gone almost overnight. In addition to online have seen them at some local drug stores.

We spray cloths with permethrin somewhat regularly. I still get tick bites occasinally. I found this study to be extremely interestingSpecifically: Furthermore, elevated alpha-gal sIgE level was observed in 33% of the controls and was associated with tick exposure in the controls
That means in their alpha gal study, the control group (the people with NO SYMPTOMS), 1/3 of them people had the antibody. A lot more study is needed, but that hints at the possibility that the majority of those exposed via a tick bite are do not actually develop the alergic reactions. So perhaps it not simply a matter of time before we all get it.

How many here get the antibiotic prescription as soon as they get a good tick bite. One phone call and it’s ready at the local pharmacy within 40 minutes. 5 pills. I wanted a standing prescription, but they just said to call in when I need more. So I called in a few times last month and got enough for the summer. I hate calling in…..lol. Or, roll the dice, wait until you’re sick then seek help. I like to be proactive. If they developed any vaccines for tick born diseases, most probably wouldn’t take it because there’s no trust in government.

If they call it Alpha Gal Ivermectin publish studies proving it doesn't work then people will rush to take it.
