I read there was a cure for it now. I am not sure if it was true or not. But once they get the data centers done there will be more BS floating around.

A good source of information on ticks and different diseases spread by ticks is the University of Rhode Island research lab, tick encounter .org.
I found a lot of good info on this site years ago when l was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever.
There are pictures of every tick species in North America from nymph stage to adult and the known diseases each one is known to carry.
There is a lot of research done on the alpha-gal virus and research has revealed that one tick can spread several diseases from one bite.

I think pulling ticks with any device COULD leave mouthparts still attached to the bite site. Just another thing to think about.

A tool called the Tick Key works great on all but the smallest of ticks

I’ve had it for years. The wife just got tested and she now has it.
My neighbor across the way has it also.
It is a life changer.

Sorry to hear about the folks that have it, gotta be rough...

Did some research and there's an acupuncture treatment called saat acupuncture...supposed to have a 93% "cure" rate, whereas treated people were able to eat mammalian meat again...simple procedure with just one treatment session....good thing to keep in mind, I actually have a practitioner a couple towns over , that I hope I never need.

Just got a report earlier today. One of our contractors got sick and was diagnosed with Lyme. Took about a week for flu symptoms to start. Good thing. Sometimes it lays dormant and pops up years later and the sick person doesn’t even think about a tick being the cause.

I don't know if I'm lucky or ignorant, but working outdoors on the farm every day, plus hunting, trapping, hiking and everything else I have never had a tick on me that I know of. I do always wear long pants and work boots. I am sure that helps but the fact that I have never found one on me makes me wonder if I just don't know how to find them or if I really just never get them on me.

You likely have been bit before and exposed and your body produced the antibodies to afford you natural immunity like any other virus.

Some people got that natural thing going on where even mosquitoes mostly leave them alone. Lucky you…..lol.

Shakeyjake, you might be on to something. Mosquitoes don't tend to bother me either. My wife on the other hand is like a mosquito all you can eat buffet.
