I was doing the same thing with cortisone, but it was costing me $40 each time on my medicare supplement. The shots only seemed to help for a couple of months. A couple months later I was back for more shots. So, I decided to check out the VA where it wouldn't cost me anything. I was told there that cortisone will eventually erode the cartilage. They suggested a better option to try might be something called Euflexxa. It's a gel that won't erode the cartilage. You get one injection a week for 3 weeks. Then you are good to go for 6 months. If it works you can start a new series for another 6 months. They said some guys say it really works great. Some didn't. I'm in the first group, it was like a miracle. I've just started my second series about a month ago.

Check with your doctor. It's called Euflexxa. It sure was a better option for me.

Also called Synvisc, worked for me for 6 years , then went in for the rebuild.

Just the right amount of whelm.
