What make um famous?/
I know a few that are full of( dead ones pause) it and still sell garbage to you folk.
Some think thorp?
Paul dobbins ain't his dad,,,,,but still produces some fine lure, can't testify on his bates.
Sevell was\is gay,,,,,

Best trapper that was not gay?

I certainly miss Arnie Peterson aka the Jack Pine Savage ! Always had a well thought out answer for a particular situation. If he didn’t pick up the phone he definitely returned the call.

Sense of humor and a huge supporter of youth trappers !

You'd almost have to make it a regional thing. Some hot shot coon trapper from Iowa might not hold a candle to some hot shot cat trapper from out west; or vica versa.

Yep there guys down here I talked about who are some serious killers but you talk about them to anyone outside of the state and they look at you like your crazy

Yeah, Arnie could run circles around men half his age and he sure racked up the fur, especially weasels. He was a prince of a guy too.

Yeah, Arnie could run circles around men half his age and he sure racked up the fur, especially weasels. He was a prince of a guy too.

I remember riding the school bus to a buddy's house, and seeing Arnie jogging down the road with a decent sized beaver on his shoulder. I would guess he was in his late sixties at the time. Heck of a trapper and a heck of a good guy.
