So on one side of the road I have permission to trap from that owner and the other side I don't and the bridge is in the middle being the bridge is in the middle is that considered state property being it's a state owned bridge? And can I legally set under it even on the edge of it on the other side being the state owns the bridge and 15 feet from the center of the road? I can't find anything that says I can't in the regs.

My best answer is contact an older state game warden who knows the laws. Every state is somewhat different. Here in Ohio the property owner owns ,, pays taxes to the center line of the road. Bridge or no bridge. The state owns the water but not the land under the water. Property owner does. On our farm the north line was the center line of a river. Sounds goofy but through out the years due to floods and such we lost and gained some tiny piece of land.

Totally changes depending on what state your in. I have no idea what New York laws are, but in my home state of Michigan it is illegal to trap/hunt/forage in the road right-of-way unless the land is public or you have the ok of the landowner. Iowa, on the other hand, allows trapping in road right-of-ways with some restrictions. Skippy's advice is the best answer.
