I work outside and drive with the windows up or down depending on the weather. Most of the time they're cracked or down all the way. Connecting with nature?....Im not sure, but I know when a bee comes in the window and smacks down on my lap, I wish I was outside!

Kid on school bus said, "I saw your Dad driving with window down and hoodie up".
Other kid said, "Yeah probably had heater and radio blaring too".

About 1985 I saw my first jogger in plastic jogging suit. That used to be a thing. I was riding shotgun and they jogged by at the light and dad said "if they would go get a real job they wouldn't need to do that". I guess that made me think of that. lol. I get enough outdoor fun on the open boat in all kinds of weather, when I'm driving I want to be warm and dry, lol

But thats the point. Were not all always outdoors like we like to be all the time. I have to drive to work. I don't have to drive to work with the window rolled up. I guess everyone's idea of connecting with nature is different and is relative to their situation. For some driving with your windows down isnt much of a connection with nature.

I get cranky if I don't get outside. Fortunately at this stage in life I get our most every day and walk a few miles.
Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

I was thinking driving into work this morning... connecting with nature is important to me, not a decision as far as I can tell. Anyway so I drive around a lot with my windows down, if they are only cracked. I'd rather have the windows down with the heat / air on than to not have them down just for the white noise and some fresh air hitting me in the face. This was on my mind b/c driving home yesterday I was getting rain on my face. Anyway I got to thinking about most other people around me say at work or home even I guess. They don't roll the window down at all. Their most likely only connection with nature throughout the day/week is driving in their car... to get somewhere to go indoors... and they don't even roll the window down. Are you related to Foxxkid by chance ??

I'm in constant connection with nature. I connection that I enjoy doing is having my lunch outside at the table, looking at the foot hills and listening, seeing, feeling and smell nature. I would die living in a populated area and would be like a caged cat.
Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

Invasive species? I tried operating one of those horses. Couldn't master the clutch to save my life. They sure were a hit with the girls. We named a feral one Tony the pony lol.
