Do you guys know where a video is that shows how to make these supports?
Iam sure I can figure out a way but it probably won’t be the easiest way. Haha[Linked Image]

I mite be wrong but it looks to me thats set up for the snare support to hold the snare once a critter puts his head in it. Unless that support is anchored to a heavy or solid object, that's not going to work. The working end of the snare needs a whame, a small rubber or plastic tube that sticks into the end of the support wire or bend a lazy W into the end of the support wire to hold the snare in place. The other end of the snare gets tied off to a solid or heavy object even if you need to add on an extension piece of snare cable. Always carry some extension pieces of cable, always. U-tube or a good book on snaring will be your friend. Sort of the KISS principal.

One of these make the coiling a bit easier, or you can probably make your own if you got a bit of a shop and some junk steel around.

I’ve usually got frozen ground to contend with so I’ve got the base wrapped around a #6-6” nail then tack welded that I can pound in. I use a wammy or a piece of fuel line for the support end, no need to coil it there. Holds the snare secure.
They kinda look like this…..the bendable part is just some 9 wire. The other part is 18” rod.

These are just supports, nothing to do with anchoring.

The spots I set every year, I just leave some 9 wire loosely wrapped on a tree, just gave to hang the snare.

You need the Trapper's Bender tool for the part nearest the snare loop. Available at just about any supplier that sells snare supplies. The bottom curl you can do by hand by wrapping it around a stake.

Mr skippy the very end of it is the wammy per se. The snare opens up to about a 10” loop and you drive a rebar stale through the other end to hold it It’s made to just bend in place and go. I was asking about how to make the ends
