A 1.75 duke is my main trap for otter most people will say it’s to small but on a drowner with good pan tension it’s deadly in water I use closed jaws but you can buy offsets and switch them out for coyotes I think an extra set of jaws is three bucks on fnt trapping

My dad used to work at a sheet. metal shop. He built both my transport and holding cage out of scrap at work for scrap prices. I think p stainless with 1/8 holes all the way across it with a notch in the door for my catc stick and lige for springs to auto close the door and other ligs for a lock in my transport cage. Other than the notch in the door for the catch pole ther was no way anyone would have room to stick their fingers in the cage. Its vented good for warm days still acts like a sun shade and is hard to see whats in it. All important at the time becuse I would run traps on the way to class and parking on campus with a cage with coyotes could have had some complications.

Laminated jaw traps are important. Buyer here would not buy anything with any foot damage. I like bridger #2 dog less a lot then mb 550s but never had any problems in Victor. 1.75s .

I like at least 3 swivels damage is more likely if the swivels get fouled up so i like at least one extra. Always planed on trying shock springs but never have sine I have no live market.

I had some would spray that shot in a good stream for any wounds. Feed dog food but they typically took a few days before they started eating.

The live market is more trouble than its worth it. Snares are the best way to catch them. You can put them in a duffle bag for transport.

If it makes a track on this earth , I can catch it.

I like snairs a lot. But have never caught a coyote in one. Mostly beaver and coons have been what I catch in them.

I can't add to the coyote live market snaring.

Snaring anything, other than beaver, is illegal in Georgia.....so I have little knowledge of that.
